Medicare Supplement Plans

medicare-supplementMedicare Supplement plans, also known as Medigap or Med Supp Plans for short, are designed to pay your share of health-care costs under Medicare Part A and Part B. They are sold by private insurance companies but have standardized benefits designed by the government. Some companies choose to offer additional benefits but must include the standard benefits, at the minimum. Some examples of what Med Supplement plans typically cover are; your Medicare part A hospital coinsurance, some or all of your Medicare Part B coinsurance, and some or all of your Part A hospice coinsurance.
